Job Duties

The Department of Decision Sciences and Economics in the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi College of Business invites applications for adjunct faculty positions. These positions may involve night, weekend, and electronic course delivery. Online courses do not require faculty to be located in Corpus Christi.

The Department includes faculty whose disciplines are Economics, Management Information Systems and Operations Research. The Department offers an undergraduate Management Information Systems major, as well as an academic minor that enrolls students majoring in all of the five colleges. Two Management Information Systems courses are required in the college’s undergraduate core, as well as one in Operations Management and one in Applied Business Statistics. All three disciplines offer required courses in the MBA program. All College of Business academic programs are AACSB accredited.

Qualifications

At a minimum, applicants must have earned an MBA, MA, or Ph.D. with at least 18 semester credit hours at the graduate level in Information Systems, Operations Management or Applied Business Statistics from an AACSB accredited institution and possess a strong commitment to teaching excellence. In addition, a record of scholarly peer-reviewed publications, or significant professional experience, in one of these areas is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful teaching experience, online and onsite, at the college level is preferred.
